Jeremy Rifkin, who wrote "The Third Industrial Revolution," was on Diane Rhem show awhile ago. If you can find an archive to listen to it is WELL WORTH IT.
This is the most cogent plan I've heard for solving our energy issues. This plan is already started in Europe.
Among other things, in 40 years, almost every building or house will be a producer of energy, whether solar, wind etc. In the process, millions of jobs will be created. Nuclear is a minor part of the future.
